Lew's KVD Speed Spin Spinning Reels are a new series of bass spinning reels developed in conjunction with bass fishing legend and 4-time Bassmaster Classic winner Kevin VanDam (KVD). They were designed to KVD's exacting specifications and are jammed packed with features competitive bass anglers appreciate.
The KVD Speed Spin is constructed with an aluminum body and sideplate that holds in place a high-strength and lightweight C40 carbon skeletal speed rotor with aluminum bail wire. Smooth casting and retrieve is facilitated by a premium 10-bearing system with 9 ball bearings and Zero Reverse® one-way clutch bearing. And last but not least, it's also worth noting the reel has a double anodized braid ready knurled machined aluminum spool with S-curve oscillation for flawless line lay.
For angler convenience and comfortable operation, it also includes a Right/Left interchangeable reel handle with EVA paddle knobs and Speed Lube® ports.
