Crème pâtissière, the base for many classic French pastries (think fruit tarts, custards, and puff filling), is a walk in the park with this mix. Heat 2 cups of milk to a hard boil, remove from heat and pour one pouch of mix, stir with a whisk until the cream is thick and smooth. Stir occasionally while the cream is cooling to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
